A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

UPDATE 1:1: Added settings menu, added Mac & Linux support, improved UI and fixed bugs.

Don't Look Back is a 2D horror experience where the goal is to find a way out of each level. This isn't so simple, as the path is often non-linear, and some doors are locked and require keys. Oh, there is also monster wandering around trying to kill you :)

Controls are covered in tutorial level, requires mouse+keyboard.

Would you consider putting this game on the AtarI VCS? It's a Linux based console that released in 2021. A game like this would standout and would sell on the VCS I think!

Its not working in Linux Mint for me either.

The Unity title appears and then there is a gray screen.  I can hear some noise fading it, it stutters and then crashes.

The only output is "Aborted"

No other errors.

I need help, basically when i try and run the game, the screen just kind of, shakes a little then nothing else happens.

I'm using Linux Xubuntu 20.04.

I'm no linux expert,  but try changing refresh rate?

You mean on my monitor?

This was a nice challenge, you should add how to hide in the tutorial section.

Thanks for playing :) I had taken it out for screenshot purposes but forgot to put it back before uploading! Just fixed it.

Lordy this game was so difficult at first I thought it was impossible to lose the monster, but it's not it's just insanely difficult and you have to perform some door magic luckily he seems to have a set starting path and the keys spawn in the same spot I think a kill scene or noise from the monster would have gone a long way in the scare value but overall a pretty dope difficult game my play through here:

Yeah, the difficulty can be very variable. Some people I've had playtest beat the game on first try, some never got past the first level. Thanks for playing :)

Oh for sure I was reading the other users comment if I knew there was a hide button the game probably would have been easy peasy since I was able to beat it without it thanks for making the game!
